Richard "Ricky" Lavoie

Richard “Ricky” Allen Lavoie, 65 of Hudson, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH surrounded by his loving wife, Linda (Sennett) Lavoie, sister, Susan (Lavoie) Higgins, son, Javier Navarrete-Rodriguez, and niece, Amanda Murphy. Richard was born on December 27, 1958 in Brighton, MA, son of the late Sonya (Coleron) Lavoie and Henry Lavoie. Ricky grew up in Waltham, MA with his four siblings, where he attended local schools and graduated from Waltham Vocational High School in 1978. He had been employed at Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Andover, MA for 20 years until his retirement in 2021. Prior to that, Ricky, worked at Hewlett-Packard in both Andover, MA and Waltham, MA locations. He has been a longtime member of the Elks club Lexington-Waltham, MA No. 2204. From a young age, Ricky always had a deep love for both playing and watching sports. He had a natural talent, and an impressive swing that won him many a youth baseball game and later in life won him many a golf game. Ricky was competitive in everything he did, and never said no to an adventure. He loved skiing, anything on the water, fishing, playing cribbage, and Ricky never said no to playing a game of Keno a love he developed from his late father-in-law, George Sennett. Ricky was loved by everyone, and equally loved everyone. Even from a young age his friends and family meant the world to him. He and his wife, Linda just celebrated their 30th anniversary August 27, 2024. When Ricky wasn’t on an adventure, you could find him “relaxing”. He and his wife enjoyed hosting cookouts or dinners at home, and spending time with their grandson, Noah. To know him was an honor. Survivors include his loving wife, Linda (Sennett) Lavoie of Hudson, NH; son, Javier Navarrete-Rodriguez of Wilton, NH; Grandson, Noah; Sister, Susan (Lavoie) Higgins of Nashua, NH; Sister, Annie Lavoie of Somerville, MA; Nephews, Derek and Brian Higgins; Nieces, Christine Higgins and Amanda Murphy; and many close cousins and great nephews. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th from 4:00pm - 6:30pm with a Service of Remembrance at 6:30pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson, NH. Burial will be private. Anyone who knows Ricky knows he had a deep love for pets, especially his Benny and Penny aka Yea.
