Pamela Ema Blank (née Persson), age 78, of Laconia, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her most. By her side were her devoted husband, Bill; her son Bill Jr. and daughter-in-law Janis; her son Christopher; and her lifelong friend, Mary. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Eddie. Pam will be forever missed and lovingly remembered in the hearts of her devoted husband of 61 years, Bill, her lifelong partner and the love of her life; her son, Bill Jr., and his wife, Janis; her son, Chris, and his wife, Michele; Eddie’s widow, Kathy; her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Caden, Kaia, Erin and her husband, Kirk, and Caroline and her fiancé, Pat; her adored great-grandchildren, Callan and Clara; her beloved sister-in-law, Betty Yule; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Among those who will feel her absence most deeply is her treasured friend of 46 years, Mary Bearor, who was truly her sister from another mother. Their friendship was a rare and beautiful gift, woven through decades of laughter, unwavering support, and unconditional love. Through every season of life, they stood faithfully beside one another, sharing a lifetime of memories, laughter, love and a bond so deep and enduring that they were family in every way that truly mattered. Pam was born in Flushing, New York, on November 8, 1947, to the late Edmund “Jack” and Gertrude (née Gallo) Persson. On July 4, 1965, she married her teenage sweetheart, Bill Blank, beginning a lifelong journey together built on love, devotion, and unwavering commitment. Their marriage was a true partnership, a bond that grew stronger and deeper with each passing year, carrying them through 61 years of shared memories. Together, they embraced life’s joys, weathered its challenges, and created a lifetime of treasured memories, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured. In 1971, Pam and Bill made their home in Merrimack, New Hampshire. There, they lovingly raised their family and built a home filled with cherished memories. As her children grew, Pam opened her heart and home through her daycare, providing a safe and loving place for many little ones who were lucky recipients of her love and caring nature. Later, Pam worked in retail at Handy Landing, a local department store. Her kind nature, easy humor, and genuine love for people made her a natural in her role, earning her a front-end position, allowing her to do what she loved most- connecting with people, many of whom still count Pam as a friend. Of all the roles she held throughout her life, Pam’s most cherished by far was that of grandmother. She found immense joy in every moment spent with the lights of her life: Tyler, Caden, Kaia, Erin, and Caroline. The arrival of her great-grandchildren, Callan and Clara, brought an extra special blessing to her heart that knew no bounds. Pam’s legacy is one of love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. She touched countless lives with her kindness and warmth, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Pam will be laid to rest beside her beloved son, Eddie, where she will finally be reunited with the child she carried in her heart and missed every day. Following cremation, a time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5th from 10:30am -11:30am with a Service of Remembrance at 11:30am in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Hudson.
