Noreen Dunn

Noreen (O’Melia) Dunn, 87, passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2024, in Nashua, NH. Born on May 28th, 1937, Noreen was a lifelong resident of Woburn MA. She attended St. Charles Catholic School until high school, then graduated from Woburn High in 1955. She took secretarial classes at Harvard College and worked several office jobs. On August 10th 1958, Noreen married the love of her life Eugene Dunn. They settled in Woburn MA where they raised their four children. She was a stay at home mom until her children were of school age. She then rejoined the workforce as a Quality Control Inspector for Chromerics in Woburn. Noreen and Gene enjoyed camping, traveling, dancing and family gatherings often breaking out in to a Jitter Bug at every function which everyone loved to watch. Noreens favorite place to visit was Aruba and she often talked about their many trips to the island. At an early age, Noreen had a talent for drawing and crafting. Her paintings and drawings adorned her house. She often held tole painting sessions and classes for her friends and sister Donna. Noreen was a woman of faith, actively involved in St. Joseph the Worker parish in Nashua, NH. Her generosity and friendship left a lasting impression on her family and community at Nashua Crossing, where she lived her last few years. The staff would often come in to visit their apartment to chat and socialize, and were always greeted with a warm smile. She is preceded by her loving husband of 66 years, Eugene Dunn and son Jeffrey Dunn; she is survived by daughters Doreen Lopez and husband Mario, Karen Martineau and husband Paul, Robin Eason and husband Michael; grandchildren Nichole, Nate, Lea, Doug, Scott, Jamie, PJ, Halie, Nick, Sean, Ryan & Ashleigh; and great-grandchildren Jordan and Jacob; Her brother Johnny O’Melia and wife Arlene, her brother-in- law Gail Dunn, and numerous nephews and nieces. A time of visitation will be held in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson on Thursday November 14th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm followed by a Service of Remembrance in the funeral home at 6:00 pm to honor Noreen's life. Please join the family immediately following for a celebration of life gathering at White Birch Function Hall, 222 Central St, Hudson NH. Burial will be private. Noreen’s legacy of giving and interest in other lives will always be remembered. She had a generous and caring heart and made everyone she came in contact with feel like family.
