Nellie Lindsay Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nellie Lindsay of Hudson died Tuesday November 1, 2011 at the Arbors in Bedford. She was born in 1920 in Hudson, daughter of the late Walantas and Agota (Jaskevicute) Grigas. She was also predeceased by her husband, Anthony C. Lindsay as well as by three brothers. Nellie was a lifetime resident of the Hudson-Nashua Community where she graduated from local public schools. She worked at the former Doehla Greeting Cards Inc., the Nashua Gummed and Coated Paper Company (N.G.C.P.) now called Nashua Corp.. Nellie was also a representative for Singer Sewing Machine Co. of Nashua and a seventeen year food service employee at Alvirne High School in Hudson. Nellie loved good cooking, nature, gardening, beach walks, knitting and crocheting, sewing, and making crafts for local bazaar sales. She was also very active with the James E. Coffey Post 3 American Legion Auxiliary as well as the Salvation Army. Survivors include three sons John A. Lindsay and his wife Betty of Edmonds, Washington, Charles J .Lindsay of Lee, NH, Peter J. Lindsay and his wife Patricia of Merrimack, NH, five grandchildren Christine Robertson, Cris-Jon Lindsay, Ashley Lindsay, Brianna Lindsay, and Courtney Lindsay. As well as six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting Hours will be held on Mon. Nov. 7th from 4pm-6:30pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm in THE DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. A Graveside Service will be held on Tues. Nov. 8th at 10am in Holy Cross Cemetery, Ledge Road in Hudson. ALL MAY MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
