Marguerite Nadeau

Marguerite ( Desjardins) Nadeau, 96, of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at her residence in Hudson, NH surrounded by her loved ones. Marguerite was born in Nashua, NH on June 19, 1930 to the late Pierre and Anna (Boucher) Desjardins. She is also pre-deceased by her loving step-mother Claire (Lavoie) Desjardins. She was a graduate of St. Louis de Gonzague Elementary and High School in Nashua. Marguerite was employed by Malden Mills in Hudson and Nashua Corp in Nashua for several years prior to retiring to the enjoyment of her favorite hobby of needle craft. She knitted beautiful mittens, hats and scarfs for many charitable organizations. Marguerite loved sewing and knitting for her grandchildren. Quilts and blankets that are still treasured. One of her greatest joys was yard sales and treasure hunting with her daughters. Her inviting, love filled home was always the center of family gatherings and special events where friends and family were always welcome and where her culinary skills were on display. She frequently enjoyed having a lobster roll and her Monday pizza from Dominos. She was the widow of the late Gerard Nadeau with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She is predeceased by her grandson Micheal Hier, her daughter Suzanne Hier and her son-in-law George Hier, sister Olivette and brothers Raymond, Ralph and Leo. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Patricia Huot and her husband Don of Kingston NH and her sons Denis Nadeau and his wife Susan of Hernando, Fl, Mark Nadeau and his wife Kathryn of Bedford, NH, David Nadeau and his wife Susan of Naples, FL, and William Nadeau and his wife Christina of Hudson, NH. Also among her survivors are her ten grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as her Godchild Mona. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 15th at 10:00am in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road in Hudson. All are asked to please meet at church. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
