Lorice Sullivan

Lorice K. Sullivan died August 24, 2020 in Nashua, NH. Lorice was born in Lawrence, MA on August 22, 1928, daughter of the late George and Lulu Mansour. She was predeceased by her husband William Sullivan, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage, as well as two sisters, Helen Kalil and Alice Mansour, and four brothers, Chad, Jim, Ed and George Mansour. Lou is survived by her three sons: Michael and his wife Suzanne of Merrimack, NH, David and his wife Elaine of Hampton, NH, and Thomas of Hudson, NH. Her beloved grandchildren: Lindsay Sullivan of San Francisco, CA, Shaun Sullivan of Merrimack, NH, Molly Sullivan and her fiancé Frank Oliver of Raymond, NH, and Jamie Sullivan and her fiancé Cody Cusano of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Mansour and his wife Jenny of Bonita Beach, FL and her sister in law Maureen Daw of Laconia, NH, as well as several nieces, nephews (to whom she was known as “Auntie Loudie”) and friends. Lou graduated Lawrence High School and the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she became Supervisor of the Maternity Department (where she acquired the nickname Sully) at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH and moved on to become the Maternal and Child Health Coordinator of the Pediatric Department. She took great pride in delivering babies, and always said maternity was the happiest ward in the hospital. Always active, Lou enjoyed time at Salisbury Beach with her family and working in her rock and vegetable gardens. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying Civil War history. She always had a Civil War puzzle in process on her dining room table. In later years, she enjoyed bowling with the Hudson Seniors. Lou always said, “Once a nurse, always a nurse.” She was always available for any family member or friend with love and support during trying times. Sito loved being a grandmother and she excelled at it. Her greatest joy was the during the holidays, when all four were together with her. Lindsay, Shaun, Molly and Jamie all received quilts and other hand knitted pieces with love from their Sito over the years. She was their biggest fan, their junk food supplier, and the reason they never needed a babysitter throughout their childhoods. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Lorice / Lou / Sully / Auntie Loudie / Sito. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 28th at 11:00am in St. Patrick Cemetery, 75 Derry Road in Hudson. All may meet at the cemetery. Face masks and / or face coverings are requested and all are asked to please be mindful of social distancing.
