Connie Webster

Constance C. “Connie” Webster, 75, of Hudson, NH passed away on Friday, 21 June, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon NH, as she succumbed to illness. Connie was born on 21 March 1949 in Biddeford, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Gerard “Jerry” and Doris (Gagnon) Paquette. Connie was the wife of the late Gary Webster of Hudson with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Connie is survived by her brother Ken Paquette and wife Lara of Pentincton, British Columbia Canada; sister Marie Miller and husband Blake of Ellington, CT; and brother Stephen Paquette and wife Robin of Hudson, NH; along with several nieces and nephews. Connie is pre-deceased by her brother Billy Paquette, her brother-in-law Russell Croteau, her parents Doris and Jerry Paquette, husband Gary Webster, and sister Diane Croteau. After graduating from Waltham High School, Connie’s family moved to Hudson, NH in 1967. Connie began her professional life as a server/bartender at Giovanni’s Restaurant, where she met Gary, and they were married in 1972. Connie enrolled in secretarial classes to increase her skills and left her job at the restaurant to work at Centronics in Hudson. She was a great secretary and was able to type as fast as her boss could speak! When Robert Howard moved from Centronics and established Howtek, Inc in 1984, Connie left Centronics to work with him as his Executive Assistant. She continually progressed to more challenging roles to eventually become the Human Resources Manager. In 1993, Connie entered her first attempt at retirement, but she wasn’t ready to stay retired, so she went back to work selling paintings at The Thomas Kinkade Galleries and then to an Office Manager with Chiropractic Works in Hudson. Connie was finally forced into retirement due to health-related issues, and this allowed her to spend time with friends and family. Connie loved the water. When she was younger, she would spend a lot of time at the beach. When Connie and Gary lived in Pelham, NH – they always had a pool and spent lots of time entertaining. Connie loved taking cruises with Gary along with family and friends. Connie and Gary loved eating out at nice restaurants, staring at the Full Moon, driving around in her convertible at night with the convertible top down and the heat on high, and taking long walks on the beach. She also relished the times she spent with Gary as he served as the Chairman for The American Legion Baseball Program. She would root loudly for “her boys” and was proud of all of them. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She set up her Christmas tree early and kept it up well after Christmas. In her later years, she loved her DVR – and she became engrossed with the Law-and-Order Series (every variation) and Blue Bloods. She was a generous, loving, and beautiful woman. Connie was a force and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Following cremation, a time of visitation will be held on Friday June 28th from 10am - 11:30am with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 11:30am in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson. Burial will be private.
