Cherie Hebert

Cheryl “Cherie” Lynn Hebert of Litchfield, New Hampshire, passed away April 25, 2023. Cherie was born March 21, 1961 in Rome New York to Donna (Young) Beckwith and Jessie “Buck” Beckwith. She grew up in Rome, New York with six brothers and three sisters and attended Rome City Schools where she developed lifelong friendships and later met her loving husband of 42 years, David Hebert. Cherie was a long standing member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Honorary Life Member of Hudson Post 48. Cherie was Department President for the Auxiliary in New Hampshire from 2014-2015. She was Chairman of the Department of Children and Youth, her main focus was children identification program. Cherie enjoyed being Mrs. Claus at the Hudson annual kids Christmas party. Cherie was past National Executive Committee and was instrumental in promoting the Miss Poppy and junior Miss Poppy Programs. In her free time, you could find Cherie crafting, planning the next party, and spending time with her pets Maxi and Keno. Spending time and visiting with family was always the highlight of her life. Cherie was predeceased by her stepfather, Jessie “Buck” Beckwith; father, Freddie Lee Sanders; mother in-law Doris Hebert and father-in-law, Roland Hebert. Surviving besides her husband, David Hebert are her brothers Keith (Judy) Beckwith of Rome NY; Kevin (Kellie) Beckwith of Taberg NY; Kyle; Kendall; Kirk; Kreg Beckwith all of Rome NY; Sisters Mary (George) Marsh of Floyd NY; Melissa (William) Dake of Castile, NY; Christine Beckwith of Arizona; sister-in-law, Donna (Robert) Solomon of Amherst, NH; brothers in-law, Brian Hebert and his fiancé (Deanna) of Hillsborough, NH and Jim Hebert of Odessa, FL; several loved nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Colleen Sabia of Rome NY. The family would like to say a special “thank you” to Fresenius Kidney Center in Nashua NH for the excellent care and compassion they have given Cherie. Friends and family are invited to call at Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Ferry St., in Hudson, NH Thursday May 4th from 9:00am to 11:00am. A Graveside Service will take place in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, in Boscawen NH, later that same day at 2:00pm. All may please meet at the cemetery.
