Anne Guzzetti

Our beloved mother, Anne Guzzetti, 86, resident of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully at The Elms Center, Milford, after a period of declining health on October 21, 2025. She was born in Chelsea, MA, on October 18, 1939, daughter of the late Ernest Gallant and Emma (Moore) Ames. Anne was raised and educated in Chelsea, graduating from St. Rose High School, Class of 1957 and the Prom Queen. She and Tom lovingly raised their four children in Tewksbury, MA, instilling strong family values and work ethic. Although she started as a medical secretary, her long career focused on serving others in food service and retail, at The Pewter Pot, Saints Memorial Hospital and Rite Aid. Anne had a smile that brought pleasure to everyone she met. She was proud of her Catholic faith, her large extended family and most importantly her role as Mom/Nana/Gigi. She enjoyed time spent entertaining others, whether it was a family celebration, a holiday dinner or summertime cookout. Anne was an excellent cook and made the best homemade sauce and meatballs. She loved dancing and was tireless on the dance floor, especially line dancing. In quiet times she enjoyed reading and relaxing at the beach. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Guzzetti, her son John Payne, John’s wife Tracey, her brother Robert Ames and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Survivors include her children Michael Payne and his wife Sandra of Wallingford, CT, Laurie Watkins and her husband Mike of Laconia, NH, Peggy Caesar and her husband Darrin of Wilmington, NC; her sister Theresa Ames; her grandchildren Laurie Payne (partner Jason), Jarrod Gleason (wife Jen), James Payne, Travis Gleason (wife Kate), Chris Payne (fiancée Molly), Nick Payne, Craig Watkins (wife Kati); her great-grandchildren Aubrey and Andrew; her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with her wishes a funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry, NH. All are invited to meet directly at the church that morning and join us in the church hall for lunch after. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anne’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org Her legacy of love, caring and strength will live on through her children and grandchildren. We will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
