Yvette B. Dion died Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a long period of declining health. She was born Nov. 23, 1923 in Drummondville, Quebec. Her family immigrated to Nashua, NH when she was 5 years old. She married Maurice Dion in June of 1942 and they lived in Hudson, NH, for 40 years, until Maurice’s passing in 1991. Besides being a homemaker, she worked at Sprague Electric, then Sanders for several years. She came out of retirement to work at the Hudson Dairy Queen, and helped her son Richard with his painting and wallpapering company. Family members include her son Ronald Dion and wife Irene, son David Dion and wife Charlotte, daughter Mary Ann Howe and husband David Howe, and daughter Denise Lecaroz and husband Allen. She was predeceased by her son Richard Dion, as well as her husband Maurice. She also has twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter as well as all of her nice, Nephews and many dear friends During her time in Hudson, she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, and during her time in Manchester, she was a member of the parish of St. Pius X on Candia Rd. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson, NH. The funeral will begin at 10:00am the following morning at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson, NH. All To Meet At Church. Burial will follow at the St. Louis Cemetery on West Hollis St., in Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Villager, 50 N.Mast Rd., Goffstown, NH 03045.
