Tyler Blanchette, 19, of Hudson, NH, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at his residence following a lengthy battle with Glioblastoma. His devoted and loving family was by his side. He was born August 9, 2002, son of Roger, Jr. and Melissa (Hindle) Blanchette of Hudson. Tyler attended Alvirne High School. He loved to watch professional wrestling on television and even attended a wrestling academy. His dream was to be a professional wrestler and worked at Atlantic Pro wrestling in Newburyport, MA and was attending NextGen Wrestling Center in Manchester, NH. Tyler enjoyed fishing and loved listening to music, especially The Beatles, as well as spending time with his family. He and his brother, Brandon, began a cocoa stand, Big Papa’s Hot Cocoa, in front of their family home 12 years ago with the goal to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease. For 12 years strong, it became an annual event for many in the Hudson community. Tyler was recently awarded the Granite Stater’s Award from Senator Maggie Hassan as well as the Civilian Service Award from the Hudson Police Dept.. Besides his loving parents, Roger and Melissa, he is survived by his brother, Brandon Blanchette and his wife Jessica and their children, Toby and Iris, all of Manchester, NH, paternal grandparents Roger, Sr. and Marion Blanchette of Lowell, MA, maternal grandparents Ricky and Claudia Hindle of Amherst, NH, an uncle, Christopher Blanchette and his wife Colleen Pratt of Dracut, MA, an aunt, Michelle Cass and her husband Bruce of Georgetown, TX, as well four cousins, Cayden, Taylor, Kyle, and Kaitlyn as well as many dear extended family members and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 1st from 3:30pm - 7pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home on 50 Ferry St., in Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 2nd at 12:00pm noon in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road in Nashua. All may please meet at church. This Mass will be live-streamed in realtime and may be viewed by visiting www.iccnashuanh.org Burial will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson. Face masks and facial coverings are optional for all parts of these services. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations in Tyler’s loving memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org , which was an organization that was so dear to Tyler.
