Sandra Jean (Shaw) Meyerhoefer Age 77 of Hudson, NH died September 26, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born July 25, 1943 in Lawrence MA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Irene Shaw. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and still met regularly for breakfast with High School friends. She graduated from UMass - Amherst and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Sandi was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Clyde Meyerhoefer also a graduate of Lawrence High School and UMass - Amherst. Sandi and Clyde were avid supporters of youth sports and could often be found on the sidelines and bleachers of local high schools. They both golfed and were members of the North Conway Country Club. They also enjoyed traveling the world with life-long friends often without an itinerary. Sandi is survived by her daughters, Amy Meyerhoefer Tefft and Jill Meyerhoefer, her son-in-law Alan Tefft, and her grandchild, Brynn Tefft. She also leaves behind her sister Deborah McNulty, brother-in-law, Charles McNulty, nieces Meghan Bottomley and Alison Graham, nephew Brendan McNulty and great-nephews Porter, Wells, and Hudson. As well as many close friends that she considered family. Sandi was a high school teacher at Hollis-Brookline High School until she completed her MBA at UMass, Lowell. She worked at Raytheon in the human resources department for many years before returning to teaching until her retirement from Tyngsboro High School. Sandi kept very busy in retirement. Nana, as she was known to Brynn, attended as many soccer, lacrosse, and basketball games and ski races as she could. She was an avid quilter and belonged to Hannah Dustin Quilt Guild, NH Modern Quilt Guild, and Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild. She also enjoyed knitting, book club, crossword, sudoku, and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Laureate Iota chapter. She took many classes and worked in the office at the Rivier Institute for Senior Education (RISE) program at Rivier University. She especially looked forward to her Sunday night dinners with good friends. A walk-through visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th from 9:00am – 11:00am in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. A grave-side service and burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell Street, Methuen, MA. All guests attending the grave-side services should meet at the cemetery at 1:30pm. All guests attending services are asked to please wear a face mask or facial covering and to please respect the social distancing guidelines put in place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clyde Meyerhoefer Scholarship Fund, 79 Brody Lane, Hudson, NH 03051. Sandi would also encourage everyone to vote in the upcoming election.
