Robert Sampson

September 24, 1931 - May 22, 2022

Robert Bernard Sampson Avid Seafood lover, restauranteur and fisherman! Robert Bernard Sampson of Sky Meadow in Nashua, NH, died Sunday May 22, 2022 Mr Sampson was born in Brockton Mass., son of the late Joseph & Mary Sampson of Nova Scotia. Mr Sampson was raised in Brockton MA and had been a resident of Nashua since 1975. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Anania) Sampson (deceased April 2004 ). Mr Sampson loved to spend time in Plum Island where fishing and visiting restaurants became the activity of choice. Local seafood restaurants always brought the next level of intrigue as debate worked around starting every meal with a cold drink, oysters, littlenecks and the main course of some delightful fresh seafood. He loved and enjoyed great Jazz by the likes of Errol Garner and Herb Albert. Traveling to Florida was too a great joy. Over the years he was on various Republican committee’s sharing his thoughts and opinions. If you were to have a conversation regarding politics, you best be prepared to fence! He was a 1949 graduate of Brockton High School and was a proud Bentley graduate where accounting knowledge served him well. Mr. Sampson was a proud Army Veteran having served his country honorably in Germany. Survivors include three sons and two daughters and spouses; Dale Sampson and his wife Caryn of Alpine CA, Dean Sampson and his wife Audrey of Harvard MA, Debi Sampson Lockett and her husband Tom of Belmont MA, Deborah Wilson of Kauai, Hawaii and David Sampson and his longtime companion Jennifer White of Boston MA, as well as 11 Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
