Rita (Michaud) Fournier

March 27, 1925 - January 23, 2011

Rita (Michaud) Fournier, 85 of Nashua and formerly of Hudson died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua. She was born March 27, 1925 in Lowell, MA daughter of the late Phillip and Leda (Durette) Michaud. She was predeceased by three sisters, Annie Marion, Cora Marion, and Doris Moreau and two brothers, Leo Michaud and Walter Michaud. Rita was the wife of Henry E. Fournier of Nashua with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Originally from Lowell, Rita was a longtime resident of Hudson. She enjoyed playing cards, travelling, and vacationing with her family to such places as Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Rita was a communicant of the former St. Casimir Church in Nashua and currently attended mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary as well as the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her loving husband Henry, survivors include three sons and two daughters in law Robert and Terry Fournier of Hudson, Ronald and Michele Fournier of Pembroke, NH, Roger Fournier of Michigan. A daughter and a son in law Rachel and John Guill of Hudson. Eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday January 27th from 5pm-8pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. (Rte 111) IN HUDSON. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 28th at 11am in Blessed John XXIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St. in Hudson. All May Meet At Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
