James A. Crowley, Sr., 81 of Nashua, died Friday May 3, 2013 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. He was born June 3, 1931 in Boston, MA son of the late James and Margaret (Campbell) Crowley. He was also predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Crowley in September of 2008 and was also predeceased by a sister, Alice Dickerman. James was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. He proudly served his country for 13 years in the USMC and 22 in the U.S. Army prior to his retirement at the rank of Captain. He enjoyed reading, listening to classical music, and was a military history buff. James was an avid fan of the NFL and NASCAR and found great joy in spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons; James a Crowley, Jr. and Mark E. Crowley both of Nashua, two daughters; Mary Lewis and her husband John of Silver Springs, MD and Ellen DeAngelis and her husband James of Ashburnham, MA. Also, 6 grandchildren; Sean, Jaclyn, Katie, Nicole, Sara, Kelsey and 5 great grandchildren; Angel, Camara, Creighton, Grayson, and Andrew James. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday May 8th from 6pm-8pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St. in Hudson, NH. A prayer service will take place on Thursday May9th at 10am in the Massachusetts Veteran Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 111 Glenallen St., in Winchendon, MA. All may meet at the cemetery.
