December 5, 1927 - December 19, 2021
Florence Ann (Nicolini) Boudreau, age 94, passed away peacefully at her Nashua, NH home on December 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. A loving wife, devoted mother, dearest Mom-Mom and caring friend, Florence was born on December 5, 1927, to the late Rebecca and Lawrence Nicolini in Winthrop, MA. Florence grew up in Beachmont, Revere, MA with her six siblings and graduated from Revere High School in 1946. She then attended business classes at Burdett College and started her professional career at the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Boston where she made many treasured friends. She loved going out dancing at the Oceanview with her sister and was the president of the Women’s Sodality at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Florence adored her parents and always put her family first, a value that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. As a devout Catholic, it was fitting that Florence met her beloved husband William Boudreau at church. They dated for a few years before getting married on November 11, 1954. Florence and Bill started their family in their hometown before moving to Nashua, NH in 1963 to start a new life. In Nashua, Florence worked at Community Council as a Medical Records Librarian until her retirement in 2001. This time of her life marked her proudest accomplishment, raising her six beautiful children with her dear husband. Balch Lake was a special place for Florence, where she enjoyed the summers with her family. At home in Nashua, Florence was active at Bishop Guertin High School and Mt. St. Mary’s High School, where her children attended school. Florence was also active at St. John XXIII Parish, singing in the Folk Group Choir, visiting the sick and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She kept active by walking and doing yoga at the Senior Center and she found joy in shopping and chatting on the phone. Florence was a constant presence in her grandchildren’s lives, sending them off on the bus for the first day of school and going to every sports game, concert or event to cheer them on. Despite her many family commitments, she always made time for her friends. She had many of them since she was a kind and outgoing person who could, and did, make friends wherever she went. Florence valued hard work and education but above all, she valued relationships. Love and joy flowed abundantly from her into all the people in her life, and even though she’s passed, that love will continue to be felt by all. Florence is survived by her six lovely children, Laurie Boudreau, Carol Croteau and her husband David, Jacqueline Kelly and her husband Edmund, Nancy Palmer and her husband Lawrence, Susan Croteau and her husband John, and Robert Boudreau and his wife Dana. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Jaime, Nicholas and Alexandra Croteau, Wesley, Mitchell and William Palmer, Blake and Caroline Boudreau, Austin Dunn, Timothy and Julia Croteau, Andrew and Grace Kelly, and two great-grandchildren Marquis and Jordan Croteau. Florence is survived by one sister, Paula DeCain and her husband William and is predeceased by her other siblings and their spouses, Phyllis and Newman Chaffee, Lawrence and Rita Nicolini, John and Betty Nicolini, Ernestine and Dominic Parro, and Constance and Joseph Simonson. Florence has many surviving nieces and nephews whom she treasured and friends whom she loved and cared for. She will be remembered and missed by all. The family will receive well wishes at Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St. Hudson, NH on Monday, December 27th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Face masks are required for attending these indoor services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish in Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds St., Nashua, NH on Tuesday, December 28th at 11:00am. All are asked to please meet at church. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St., Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Florence’s memory to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054 or at www.hhhc.org in honor of the excellent care they provided her.
