Benito Vacirca

Benito Vacirca passed away on Monday, February 21st, 2022 at the age of 85 in Nashua, NH surrounded by his family. Benito grew up in a family of 8 in Castel Di Tusa, Sicily where he worked in marine shipping and served in the Italian Navy, hence his long love of the ocean. Here he met and wed his wife, Santa. In 1968 they moved to the United States where they started their family in Lawrence, MA. Benito worked for Malden Mills for 20 years where he retired in 2002 and later moved to Litchfield, NH. He enjoyed his life here visiting the Gloucester House and Gloucester State Park on the weekends with his family. Benito is survived by his wife Santa, a daughter Maria and her husband Dana, a son Anthony and his wife Cindy, and a son Joseph and his wife Alice, grandchildren Catrina, Carl, Emma, Jack, Benito, and Lorenzo, and siblings Carmelo and Rosalba. He is predeceased by his father Vincenzo, mother Maria, and siblings Angelo, Rosario, and Giuseppe. His family will remember him with a glass of wine at dinner, followed up by a slice of fresh peeled apple, and a good show on the Italian channel. All services will be private.
