Ronald P. Lowe

Ronald P. Lowe joined his late wife, Dianne (Clarke) Lowe, and their late daughter, McKenzie Robin Lowe, in eternal rest on Friday, July 28, 2023. Although far too early, take comfort knowing that he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 18, 1956, he was the son of the late Robert P. Lowe, Sr. and Sarah V (Breault) Lowe and was raised in Dracut, Massachusetts where he played sports and graduated with the Dracut High School class of 1975. Ronnie and Dianne shared 26 years together. In 2002 they moved to Hudson, New Hampshire where they raised their daughter, McKenzie. Ronnie had a successful career as a sign painter, learning the craft while working alongside his father at R. Lowe & Sons Sign Company in Dracut. He eventually owned and operated his own lettering and sign-making business, Ron Lowe Signs. He continued lettering and sign-painting as a hobby well after he closed his sign shop. Ronnie managed and tended bar at several local establishments where he could share his humor and story-telling talents. Ron was a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks for many years. Ron enjoyed watching sports of any kind, playing in the Dracut Men’s Softball league in his earlier years, and then taking on golf. He enjoyed many golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his longtime buddies. Most recently, he was known as the biggest fan of the Top Gun 2014 Hockey Team - attending nearly every practice and game. He also looked forward to his time spent with and his weekly breakfasts with his grandchildren. Surviving him are his beloved daughter, Casey (Lowe) Meehan, his devoted son-in-law, Joe (who Ron considered his son), and his two adoring grandchildren, Mason Robert and Lillian Grace who were undeniably his entire world. Ron leaves his sisters, Barbara Bovill, and Sheila Sullivan, and brother, Norman. He also leaves sisters-in-law, Jackie Lowe, Doris Lowe, and Laurie Allain, and his brothers-in-law, W. Spencer Mullin, Bill Sullivan, James Clarke, and Jeff Allain, an as well as his former wife, Casey’s mother, Joyce Desjardins. Ron had a lifelong best friend, Bill Dillon who he always considered another brother. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members as well as countless friends. Ron was predeceased by his wife, Dianne, daughter, McKenzie, his parents, his brother, Robert Lowe, Jr., his sisters Sally Ratte and Robin Mullin, and his brother-in-law Tom Bovill, Sr. In Ron’s memory and to make someone smile, please share one of the warm hugs that he was known for, and if you can retell one of his many tales, please do that, as well. With respect given to his wishes, services will be private. The final resting place for Ron, Dianne, and McKenzie will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson, New Hampshire.
