Raymond Masson

Raymond T. Masson, 77, of Hudson, NH, died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his residence with his loving wife and his sons by his side. Ray was also able to say good-by to his son and grandson in Florida and other family members before he left us. He was born November 10, 1943 in Lowell, MA son of the late Louis J. & Elizabeth A. (Palmer) Masson. He was also predeceased by his brothers, John A. Masson, Donald Masson & Charles Masson as well as by a nephew Randall Masson and a niece Jennifer Hurley. Ray was the devoted husband of 51 years to Judith (Crowley) Masson, the love of his life. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School Class of 1961 and University of Mass. Lowell, Class of 1978. Ray worked for many years for Honeywell, Sanmina & Kinex cappers, his perfect job. He also served his country proudly in the US Army from 1965-1967. Ray was an avid gardener who loved his flowers & birds. He was also a wonderful photographer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife & friends . He especially loved Cape Cod where he spent many years vacationing with his family. He enjoyed working on his home and was a perfectionist. He love decorating for Christmas to the delight of his grandchildren. He enjoyed all things sports, especially his Boston teams and could talk for hours with his sons and grandsons about every team and player. He coached Hudson Little League & Babe Ruth for 16 years,& Hudson Rec basketball. He made sure every player got their time to play. He supported his sons & grandchildren in every activity they took part in. Ray was an active member of St. Kathryn Church in Hudson and was the Past Grand Knight of Council 5162. His love of church & country was second only to his family. He also leaves behind his brother Knights of Columbus , Council 5162, his special friends : The Dinner Group, The Eldridges & The Rondeaus, Larry & Shannon Quinlan & his Kinex “Family, and a special little girl Adelynn Bergeron He died from an insidious disease: Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) . He had an active life until 8 months ago when it took its toll on his ability to live the active life style he enjoyed. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Knights of Columbus, council 5162, Father Michael Monette, our wonderful friends and neighbors. Home, Health & Hospice. Without them he would not have been able to spend his final time at home with his family. Besides his beloved wife, family members include his three sons and their families; Thomas R. Masson & Amy (Larivee) of Merrimack, NH, Derek W. Masson & Heather (Walsh) of Litchfield, NH, Keith M. Masson of Lakeland, Florida, three adored grandchildren: Aiden C. Masson of Ft. Myers, Fl, Lyla E. Masson (His princess), Litchfield, & Ronan T. Masson, Merrimack, four brothers: Louis J. (Josie) Masson, Bridgeport, Conn., Robert (Joanne) Masson, Greenville, NH, John Masson (Cheryl), Westford, Mass, James Masson, Westford, Mass, 1 Sister Diane E. Masson, Nashua, NH, two Brothers-in-law & their families; Thomas L. Crowley & Sally Goodhile, Worcester, Mass, William F. & Maureen Crowley, Reading, Mass, two Sisters-in-law; Laura Masson, Wells, ME, Barbara Davies, Nashua, NH, and many beloved nieces & nephews. A Walk Through Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21st from 2pm - 4pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME IN HUDSON. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10am in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, in Hudson. All may meet at church. Burial will be private. All those attending any portion of the service are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and to follow the social distancing guidelines in place.
