Muriel C. Thibodeau

Muriel (Dionne) Thibodeau, 82, of Hudson, NH passed away Wednesday March 25th, 2015 at the Pleasant View Transition Facility in Concord, NH surrounded by her loving family. Muriel was born on September 8th, 1932 in Frenchville, ME daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes (Marquis) Dionne and was also predeceased by her loving Husband Charles M. Thibodeau with whom she shared more than 60 years of marriage, brother Gerard Dionne and sister Irma Dumais. Muriel lived in Hudson for forty-nine years and worked many years in the local banking industry. She was a member of St. John's church and served faithfully and enjoyed her fellow parishioners. Her favorite pass time however, was having family gatherings at her home especially during the summer for her 4th of July pool parties. Part of the festivities included her famous whoopie pies and other homemade desserts. Muriel enjoyed traveling back home to Frenchville, ME to visit with family. Occasionally Muriel and her sister Marilyn visited Foxwoods with the Seniors. She enjoyed a good game of bingo and her favorite treat was going out for an ice cream sundae with family. Other interests included sewing,crocheting,knitting,bowling and she enjoyed dancing with Charlie. She would often be seen in the warmer months, sitting outside her home chatting with the neighbors and enjoying a nice sunny day. Muriel is survived by two sons, Roderick Thibodeau and wife Barbara of Milford, KS and Kirk Thibodeau of Candia, NH; three daughters Susan McCoy and husband Larry of Alexandria, NH, Arline Roy and husband Phil of Allenstown, NH and Monica Blair and husband Stephen of Bow, NH, three sisters Lucille Daigle and husband,Clovis of Frenchville, ME, Noella Marquis of Palm Desert, CA and Marilyn Blanchette and husband Carl of Manchester, NH and a brother Gideon Dionne and wife Madeline of Bangor, ME and a sister-in-law Viola Dionne of CA and fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday March 30th from 5-7 pm at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following morning at 10 am in St. John XXIII Parish at St. John’s Church Church, 27 Library St., Hudson, NH. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38149.
