Laura B. Landry

Laura B. Landry passed away at Laurel Place in Hudson, NH on Thursday, July 7, 2016 following a period of declining health. She was born in Manchester, NH on August 23, 1914, the daughter of Theodule and Melanie (Lessard) Landry. Laura was educated in Manchester schools and lived and worked most of her adult life in the rectories in Harrisville, Hooksett, and Concord, NH, where her cousin , Monsignor Ronaldo Lampron, was the pastor. She shared household responsibilities with her cousin, Cora Lampron. In 1966, when the three of them retired, they moved to Hudson, NH where she resided until her death. Laura enjoyed all aspects of parish life, as well as basketball, ice skating, bicycling, cooking, and collecting recipes. She was famous for her rice krispy treats and toll house cookies. Laura was also especially fond of cats, as well as baked haddock at T-Bones in Hudson. Laura was predeceased by her parents, her cousins with whom she made her home, Ronaldo and Cora, her cousin. Marie Beaudoin, and her brother-in-law, Laurent Boucher. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Boucher, of Bedford,NH, nephews Andrew and his wife, Louise Boucher, of Goffstown, Gerald and his wife, Janice Boucher, of Wolfboro, and Leo Boucher of Hooksett, her cousin, Louise and her husband, Lamberto Tedeschi of Merrimack, and her goddaughter, Jessica, and her husband, Hans Bachofen of Switzerland, and their families. She is also survived by many other cousins and friends, including Joyce Tagliaferro and Kathleen Nichols of Hudson and Tim Murray of Nashua, and their families. The family is extremely grateful to Laurel Place for the excellent care and the loving friendships that Laura enjoyed there. There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13, at 11:00 AM at Blessed John XXIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., Hudson, NH. all may meet at church. A graveside service will be on Thursday, July 14 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH. All may meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura’s loving memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
