John B. Robinson

John B. Robinson, 85, of Merrimack and formerly of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 15, 2026. John was born on August 17, 1940, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles S. Robinson and Ann (Monohan) Robinson. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary E. (Beauregard) Robinson, in 1991, and by his son, Kevin J. Robinson, in 2019. John was a dedicated pharmacist whose career spanned 50 years. He earned his pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1965 and maintained pharmacy licenses in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. During his career, he served as manager of the pharmacy at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts. In recognition of his five decades of service to the profession, John was honored by the State of New Hampshire with the Golden Certificate of Pharmacy. Outside of his profession, John had many interests and passions. He was an avid reader and a devoted Civil War enthusiast, with a particular fascination for the Battle of Gettysburg. He visited most of the battlefields associated with Gettysburg, combining his love of history with a lifelong curiosity and appreciation for the past. Above all, however, John treasured time spent visiting with family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, his stories, his knowledge, and the genuine pleasure he took in the company of others. John is survived by his beloved wife of more than 30 years, Patricia Robinson of Merrimack, NH. He is also survived by his children: Karl J. Robinson and his wife, Michele, of Southport, NC; Laurie Robinson of Manchester, NH; and John C. Robinson and his wife, Stephanie, of Hudson, NH. He is lovingly remembered by Patricia’s children, Fred Dussault Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Hudson, NH, and Audrey Dussault and her partner, Angie Schnell, of Nashua, NH. He also leaves six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride. John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, August 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street, Hudson, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. Those attending the Mass are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson. John leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of devotion to his family, his profession, and the people whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
