Gregory D. Taylor

Gregory D. Taylor, 20, died unexpectedly on June 27, 2024 while on a family vacation in Maine. He was born in Nashua, NH on August 14, 2003 and is the beloved son of Lyn and Brian Taylor. Gregory graduated from Alvirne High School with the class of 2021. At his graduation, he received the school’s Core Values Award in recognition of his demonstration of Character, Curiosity, Commitment and Community. During his high school career he displayed a passion for culinary arts, computer programming, wilderness survival and robotics. After graduation, Gregory enrolled at Nashua Community College in pursuit of a degree in computer science. He was looking forward to taking part in this year’s summer and fall terms. While taking classes, Gregory pursued occupations that matched his passions. One of his positions was as a software developer for AdMagic. It was his goal to be a full stack developer and it was not uncommon to see him researching, learning and talking about various technologies at all hours of the day and night. Most weekends, he enjoyed his other passion by working part time at Five Guys. At the end of any shift, he was always smiling and happy to come home with a burger and fries. In both jobs he made a lasting impression on his co-workers, especially his dedicated mentors, who will miss him greatly. When not working, Gregory had various interests. Some of these included gaming with and talking to many of his close friends, trying to solve hands-on puzzles and brainteasers as well as enjoying anything related to penguins. Gregory enjoyed being in the kitchen. He was always combining various foods and spices in innovative ways to create delicious meals. He particularly enjoyed baking pies during the holidays. In addition, Gregory also had a natural ability to take spectacular pictures of nature with any phone or camera. In addition to his loving parents Lyn and Brian, he is survived by his sister, Jessica, his brother David as well as his paternal grandmother. Gregory is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other caring extended family members and countless friends. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm with a Prayer Service at 5:30pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson, NH. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to take a moment to hug those you love.
