Gavin Huntoon

Gavin William Huntoon passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Gavin was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on October 13, 2006. The family moved from Burlington, Ma to Hudson, NH in 2008. Hudson became a home for Gavin and his family, and Gavin was active in sports as soon as he was able to join. Starting with flag football in first grade, Gavin quickly made an amazing group of friends. His time on the Hudson-Litchfield Bears football team and the Hudson Heat basketball team were some of his favorite times. Gavin was one of a kind. His personality, wit and humor was unmatched. He would light up a room, making anyone smile or laugh no matter how much they didn’t want to. Gavin loved adventure. If there was a bridge or cliff he could flip from, he was there. Gavin’s love for sneakers was unmatched and his closet would prove it. The love Gavin had for his family was unequaled, especially the love he had for his mom AKA, Kelbell and his sister. Although he may not have always shown it, he loved his family and dreamt of having his own family in the future. Gavin had dreams and many goals and there was no doubt he had a bright, amazing future ahead of him. His favorite saying was "Stay down until you're up!" Surviving him, are his mother Kelly Huntoon and sister Mikalah Huntoon of Hudson, NH and his father, Jeremy Huntoon of Woburn, MA; grandparents John Silva and Jeanne Livermore of Lee, NH, Leonard and Jeanne Huntoon of Burlington, MA; grandmothers, Karen Silva of Manchester, NH and Bonnie Bryant of Milan, NH; an Aunt Kerri Floyd and cousins Brianna and Samantha of Mesa, Arizona, and multiple other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, from 3pm to 7pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., in Hudson. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Gavin’s loving memory to the Alvirne Touchdown Club, c/o Alvirne High school, 200 Derry Road, Hudson, NH 03051. In Gavin’s spirit for loving sneakers so much, we are asking people to please wear their favorite pair of sneakers to the viewing hours at the funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life for Gavin on Thursday, October 6th from 4pm - 7pm in the VFW of Hudson Post 5791, 15 Bockes Road, Hudson, NH 03051.
