Diane Rigg

Diane Pomerleau Rigg, 83 formerly of W. Palm Beach, FL, died peacefully at her daughter Sheila and Gary’s house in Hudson, NH surrounded by loved ones. Born in Lowell, Mass, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Doris Pomerleau and grandmother to the late Robert Rigg. She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School and retired from The Diocese of Palm Beach. Diane was a devote catholic who watched televised church services when she no longer could attend in person. She also prayed the Rosary daily. Diane enjoyed cooking meals and baking desserts for her family and dear friends Twila and Connie. She loved trying new foods and recipes. She also enjoyed reading, solving cross word puzzles in the daily newspaper, watching Wheel of Fortune with her son Billy. She was her children’s biggest fan during baseball and football games and attending her daughter’s ballet and tap dance recitals. She attended many of her granddaughter Jessica’s dance recitals and competitions and supported family members near and far with their endeavors. She loved line dried laundry and going to Hudson Speedway with her children. This writer was told, “that nana had a one-sided long-standing feud with her local post office.” In closing, I want to mention the one true trademark of the strongest most incredible and stubborn mom (Pomerleau trait so I’ve been told) who single handedly raised her 6 children is her “V”. She is survived by four sons and two daughters. Billy and his wife Patty of Nashua, NH, Kenny and his wife Sherry of N. Chelmsford, Mass, Sheila and her husband Gary of Hudson, NH, Karen and her husband David of Dracut, Mass, Scott and his wife Chris of W. Palm Beach, Fla, Bobby and his wife Ivana of W. Palm Beach, Fla. Two sister’s Nancy Pomerleau of N. Chelmsford, Mass and Janice Goulet of Nashua, NH and one brother Timmy Pomerleau of Hudson, NH, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and several close friends. Private graveside burial for family and close friends will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. Memorials can be made in her name to VNA Association and Hospice of Manchester and Southern NH, 1070 Holt Avenue, Manchester, NH 03109 or to any charity of your choice.
