Cheryl Ann Johnson

Cheryl A. (Santarpio) Johnson, 63 of Nashua, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at her residence in Nashua. She was born September 1, 1952 in Dorchester, MA, daughter of Eleanor P. Santarpio (Fumicello) of Billerica and the late Ferdinand M. "Freddie" Santarpio Sr. Cheryl was the beloved wife of David G. Johnson of Nashua. Cheryl Johnson was loved by many, she always wanted to chip in and provide desserts, meatballs and anything Italian at social and family functions. She was an unbelievable cook. She was a loyal, caring, loving person. loved to be around her family. Nieces and nephews would look forward to her delicious desserts. She worked at Hewlett Packard for many years and worked in human resources at Hanscom AFB. Cheryl made many friends while selling Tupperware and Avon products. She enjoyed spending time with her mother knitting and crocheting. Cheryl enjoyed long rides with her husband on his motorcycle and participated in many charity riding events over the past 5 years. She was extremely strong both physically and mentally tough and wasn't going to be held down by her illness. She was an inspiration and never stopped living life to its fullest. She loved her beautiful little grand-daughter beyond words who gave her so much enjoyment. Cheryl was a very festive person. Anyone who knew her knows she would decorate the house for every holiday season and wear earrings to match what ever holiday her family celebrated. She was the strongest person we know. Many people who knew her will attest to that. A special thanks goes out to Mass Eye and Ear, Mass General and especially St. Joseph's Hospital of Nashua. They were truly caring and loving and supported Cheryl in so many ways from start to finish. They know Cheryl: Cheryl STRONG. Besides her loving husband and devoted mother, she is survived by a son, Zac Ochab and his wife Sarah of Hampton NH, her step-children, David Johnson Jr., Lorin V. Johnson of ME, Lisa A Johnson of Brookline NH, one granddaughter, Lucy Ochab and one step grandson, Owen Johnson, as well as her siblings, Michael A. and his wife Paula of Reading, Richard M. and his wife Lesley, Ferdinand M. Jr. and his wife Mary, all of Billerica, Gary S. Santarpio and his wife Deborah Santarpio of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 27th from 4pm - 7pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 10am in the funeral home and guests may arrive beginning at 9:30am. A graveside service will be held at 1pm in the NH State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. All may meet the cemetery.
