Name: Ellen (Staples) Laffin Date: April 15th, 1940 - June 2nd, 2009 Obituary: Ellen Mary (Staples) Laffin, 69 of Hudson, died Tuesday, June 02, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua from complications of living with rheumatoid arthritis for over 40 years. She was born in Somerville, MA, and raised in Acton, MA, daughter of the late Howard and Anne (Quinn) Staples. She was also predeceased by a sister; Patricia MacDonald. Ellen was the wife of Curt Laffin of Hudson, with whom she shared 47years of marriage. She was a volunteer at the Nashua Soup Kitchen and St. Joseph Hospital and enjoyed gardening, singing, travelling, cooking and she loved to entertain. Her greatest joy was found when spending time with her family and friends. Besides her loving husband Curt, survivors include three daughters and a son in law; Catherine and Gary Provencher of Merrimack, Jill Laffin of Maui, HI, and Amy Laffin of Milford. Two grandchildren; Emily Provencher and Curtis Provencher both of Merrimack. A sister; Carol Quinn of Groton, MA. A mother in law; Eleanor Laffin of Hollis. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Saturday June 13th from 10am to 1pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. A Prayer Service will be held at 1pm in the funeral home.
