Name: Barbara L. (Lemery) Hill Date: July 23rd, 1929 - May 29th, 2009 Obituary: Barbara L. (Lemary) Hill, 79, of Hollis, NH died Fri. May 29, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Barbara was born on July 23, 1929 in Lawrence, MA daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline (Grant) Lemery and was also predeceased by a sister; Eleanor L. Ingalls and a stepson; Edwin J. Hill. Barbara was educated in Nashua Schools and at Rivier College (1951.) She received a fellowship at UNH and a subsequent Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (1970) and a master of library Science from Simmon’s College in Boston (1980). She worked as an elementary teacher in Wolfsboro, Derry and Nashua and also in Tewksbury and Chelmsford, MA and New Britain, CT. Her service spanned 37 years of which the final ten she acted as a librarian at New Searles School in Nashua. She was a member of the NH Retired Teachers Association, the American-Canadian Association, the Hollis Historical Society and the Nashua Senior Center. Her interests, besides reading, were knitting, crocheting and playing poker. She is survived by two nephews; Kenneth Ingalls of Mason, NH and James Ingalls of Nashua. One niece; Wendy Hillard and her husband John of Nashua. Other survivors include two grand nephews; Sgt. Robert Dalton of Colorado Springs, CO, Samuel Hilliard of Nashua and a grand niece; Jordan Hillard of Boston, MA and Nashua. Visiting Hours will be on Tues. June 2nd from 7-9pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., HUDSON. A Funeral Service will be held on Wed. June 3rd at 10am in the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua.
