Edward T. Quigley, 87, of Nashua died Fri. March 20, 2009 at the Courville at Nashua surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was born on February 9, 1922 son of the late James P. and Elsie (Pelkey) Quigley and was the loving husband of Mildred (Williams) Quigley, of Nashua, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Edward served in the US navy honorably during WWII and has bee a member of NARFE. He has been a communicant of St. Patrick’s Parish in Nashua for many years. Edward took on the responsabilities of being Postmaster General in Nashua for more than 10 years. Some of Edward’s loves were woodworking, especially woodcarving, and going to Maine and the surrounding beaches.
Besides his loving wife, Edward is survived by three sons; Terrance K. Quigley and his wife Jenny of Salem, OR, Thomas B. Quigley and his wife Pam of Williamsburg, VA and Edward P. Quigley and his wife Sue of Three Rivers, MI. One daughter; Beth Quigley and her husband Doug Funkhouser of Arlington, MA. Two brothers; John Quigley and Billy Quigley both of NH. Two sisters; Dorothy Quigley and Lucille Bertrand both of NH. Eleven grandchildren. Two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
