Name: Peter Acton Rauser Date: April 14th, 1939 - May 14th, 2010 Obituary: Peter Acton Rauser, 71, a resident of Hudson, NH for 36 years died on May 14, 2010 at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua following a brief illness. He was born on April 14, 1939 in Melrose, MA, son of the late Esther and Walter Rauser. Peter was the husband of Elaine (Drugas) Rauser of Hudson. He grew up in Malden, MA where he graduated high school. After attending Northeastern University, Peter enlisted with the United States Air Force. While he was in the Air Force, he was stationed in Iceland for most of his tenure. He and his wife Elaine previously resided in Newton, MA before building their home in Hudson. He was employed with Polaroid Corporation in Waltham, MA and later with Nashua Corporation. Peter enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, woodworking, traveling, cooking, fishing, walking his dog, and working around the house. Besides his loving wife, Elaine, Peter is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Kendra and Scott McCauley and Christine Rauser, as well as two grandchildren, Reese and Finn. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, May 20th from 5-8pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON.
