Name: Richard “Dick” Miller Date: October 17th, 1926 - April 23rd, 2010 Obituary: Richard “Dick” Miller, 83, of Hudson, NH died at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH on Friday April 23, 2010 surrounded by loving family after a brief illness. Dick was born in Nashua on Oct. 17, 1926 son of the late William and Delina (Lavarnway) Miller. Dick was the loving husband of Mary (Caron) Miller of Hudson with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Dick served honorably in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of UNH, class of 1953. He was very civic minded and active in the community. Dick had reached the fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus and was a long standing member of the Hudson Lions club. Throughout his life he worked for the US Public Health Service and the states of Connecticut and Wisconsin. He loved to Golf and spend time with family. Besides his loving wife, Dick is survived by a son, Michael Miller and his fiancé Gail Towle of Hudson, NH; three daughters, Christine Meehan of Worcester, MA, Karen Armstrong and her husband David Figarsky of Uncasville, CT and Susan Miller and her husband Jay Gassman of Medford, NY; two sisters, Shirley Brickey and her husband Richard and Marcia Petersen; a brother, Bobby “Red” Miller and his wife Susan; five grandchildren, Kim Bucko, Danielle Meehan, Dawn Meola, Kenneth Armstrong and Ashley Miller; five great-grandchildren, Avery, Jack and Evan Bucko and Zachary and Benjamin Meola; a nephew, Ronald Brickey and many dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Sun. April 25th from 4-7pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., HUDSON. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Mon. April 26th at 9:30am at Blessed John the XXIII Parish at St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., Hudson. All To Meet At Church. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson.
