Name: George J. Young, Jr. Date: March 7th, 1922 - March 7th, 2010 Obituary: George J. Young, Jr., 88 of Nashua died Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Radius Northwood Health Care Center in Lowell. He was born March 7, 1922 in Philadelphia, son of the late George J. and Betsy (Mayers) Young, Sr. He was the husband of Ann (Hoban) Young of Hudson. George was in the Coast Guard from 1946 thru 1949 and was the Past Commander of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) NH as well as a member of the Chapter #1 DAV of Manchester. He loved the New England Patriots, travelling, and visiting the ocean; especially York Beach Maine. At one time he was employed with BJ’s in Nashua. George was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed. Besides his loving wife; survivors include two daughters and two sons in law, Ann and Brian Kelly of Manchester and Arleen and Ernest Doucette of Hudson; a sister, Anne Hoban of Newton, MA, as well as 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visiting Hours will be held on Wed. March 10th from 5pm – 8pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. All may meet at the funeral home on Thurs. March 11th at 9:15am to be escorted to a 10:00am Graveside Service in Evergreen Cemetery, Nashua.
