Name: Richard “Dick” T. Ahlquist Jr. Date: August 23rd, 1932 - December 28th, 2009 Obituary: Richard “Dick” T. Ahlquist Jr., 77, of Hudson died Mon. Dec. 28, 2009 at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born on Aug. 23, 1932 in Everett, MA son of the late Richard T. Sr. and Ida R. (Trudella) Ahlquist and was predeceased by his loving wife Bernice C. (McIlwain) Ahlquist in 1985. Dick served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War where he reached the rank of sergeant. He loved deer hunting and was very proud of his 35 year career as a meat cutter. For the past ten years, Dick lived with his daughter, son-in-law and their two daughters and was able to cultivate a special relationship with them that many grandparents never have the opportunity to do. Dick is survived by a daughter; Heidi Leva and her Husband Robert of Hudson, NH; two brothers, Ronald Ahlquist and his wife Connie of Tewksbury, MA and Wayne Ahlquist and his wife Nancy of Union, ME; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Casey Leva of Hudson, NH; his loving companion of 25 years, Sue Wilson and her daughter Mikki Wilson of Lynn, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting Hours will be held on Mon. Jan. 4th from 5-8pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., HUDSON. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tues. Jan. 5th at 10 am in the Funeral Home. Public may begin to arrive at 9:30 am. Burial will be held at Puritan Memorial Park Cemetery, Peabody, MA.
