He was born September 11, 1923 in Boston, MA, son of the late Charles F. and Margaret (Penny) Burton. He was the beloved husband of Barbara D. (Ingalls) Burton of Hudson, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Barbara Parr of Nashua, NH, Gail White & husband John of Merrimack, NH, Elizabeth Gammons & husband Stephen of Essex, MA, & Paul Burton & wife Diane of Merrimack, NH. Brother of Lawrence J. Burton and his late wife, Helen of Danvers. Also survived by 10 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Visiting Hours will be held on Mon. Dec. 14th from 5-8pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., IN HUDSON. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tues. Dec. 15th at 11am in Blessed John XXIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., in Hudson. All May Meet At Church. Burial will be held later that day in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at 2:30pm.
