Obituary:
Joseph “Joe” Boudreau, 95, of Windham, NH died Monday September 28, 2009 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

He was born March 28, 1914 in Boston, MA, son of the late Augustine and Mary Emma (Doucette) Boudreau. He was also predeceased by 4 sisters and a brother.

Joe was a member of the National Guard from 1925-1939 and loved to hunt, fish, and being a “Mr. Fix It.” He was a machinist throughout his life. He took great pride in building the first heart lung machine used by Beth Israel Hospital in the late 1950’s.

Affectionately known as “Poppa,” “Great Poppa,” or “Uncle Joe,” he loved spending time with his family and summering at his vacation home at Pawtuckaway Lake.

Survivors include three loving daughters; Claire Boudreau of Ayer, MA, Gail Hanlon and her husband Thomas of Plymouth, MA, Joanne Dickie and her husband Frederic, Jr. of Windham, NH. 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be on Friday, Oct. 2nd from 4-7pm in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., in Hudson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sat. at 10am in St. Jude Parish, 425 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Campership Fund in Memory of Joseph Boudreau, Daniel Webster Council Boy Scouts of America, 571 Holt Ave, Manchester NH 03109-5214 or to the New Hampshire Lakes Association / FBO Pawtuckaway Lake Funds 3 Silk Farm Road, Concord NH 03321, RE: Joseph Boudreau Memorial Fund.
