Obituary:
Lorraine (LaBier) Kane, 68 of Merrimack, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 6, 1941 in Boston, MA daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Cadrain) LaBier.

Lorraine was the wife of Charles H. Kane of Merrimack with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

She graduated from the Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing and was a R.N. at Lahey Clinic for over 24 years. She held the rank of 2nd Lt. as nurse in the U.S. Army. Even after retirement from Lahey, she could always be found helping and caring for others.
Lorraine was a member of the Merrimack Garden Club and loved to cook and sew. She also enjoyed travelling to Europe, many parts of the United States and Canada and especially Quebec City which she loved. Lorraine was a member of the choir at Our Lady of Mercy Church and was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed playing the accordion. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Besides her loving husband, survivors include two sons and two daughters in law; Daniel and Beth Kane of Nashua, David and Catherine Kane of Wilmington, MA. Two daughters and two sons in law; Laura and Robert France of Carlisle, MA, Kathleen and Bobby Kozakoff of Yulee, FL. Nine Grandchildren; A.J. Kane, Olivia Kane, Tori Kane all of Nashua, Lindsey Kane and Gillian Kane both of Wilmington, MA, Bobby France and Ben France both of Carlisle, MA, Mitchell Kozakoff and Allyson Kozakoff both of Yulee, FL. Two brothers; Joseph LaBier of North Kingston, RI, Louis LaBier of Plymouth, MA. A sister; Carol Fagan of East Bridgewater, MA. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visiting Hours will be on Sun. Sept. 13th from 2-4pm and Mon. Sept. 14th from 5-8pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. HUDSON, NH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tues. Sept. 15th at 9:30am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd., Merrimack, NH. Burial will be in Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
