Name: Thomas Adrian Gallant Date: December 7th, 1929 - August 28th, 2009 Obituary: Thomas Adrian Gallant, 79, of Hudson, NH died Friday August 28, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born on Dec. 7, 1929 in Manchester, NH son of the late Leon and Eglantine (Manseau) Gallant and was the loving husband of Flora L. (Candela) Gallant, of Hudson, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by three brothers; Leon, George and Gilbert Gallant. Tom graduated from Manchester West High School and University of New Hampshire with a degree in Chemical Engineering and was a long time resident of Hudson. He worked for American Cyanamid in Stamford CT and for Nashua Corporation as a chemical engineer. He also worked for Raytheon Corp. and Badger Company as a planning and scheduling engineer. Recently He volunteered as an “ambassador” at Southern NH Regional Hospital. Tom’s interests included photography, tennis and music (especially Dixieland Jazz and barbershop quartets.) He also loved puzzles and jokes, but above all he loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his world and he took special interest in their accomplishments. Besides His loving wife, Thomas is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Janet and Jeffrey Eaton of Springvale, ME, Carole and Albert Shapiro of Needham, MA and Mary and Theodore Chang of Delmar, NY. One brother; James Gallant of Manchester, NH. Two sisters; Theresa Johnson of Suncook, NH and Margaret Gunzelman of Manchester, NH. Seven grandchildren; Carla Eaton of Brighton, MA, Colin and Cody Eaton of Springvale, ME, Andrea and Stephanie Shapiro of Needham, MA, Kevin and Eric Chang of Delmar, NY and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Thurs. Sep. 3rd from 7-9pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., HUDSON. A Funeral Service will be held the following morning on Friday the 4th of Sep. at 10am in the Funeral Home. The public may begin to arrive at 9:30am. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson.
