Name: Mary "Vera" Hood Date: March 25th, 1921 - August 18th, 2009 Obituary: Mary “Vera” Hood, 88 of Hudson, NH and formerly of Florida, died Tues. Aug. 18, 2009 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson. She was born March 25, 1921 in Ireland, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McVeigh) McCluskey. Vera was predeceased by her two husbands; Leo Houle in 1989 and Robert E. Hood in 2008. She was also predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Prior to her retirement in 1976, she was employed with the Veterans Administration in West Roxbury, MA for 18 years. She moved to Florida in 1979 and moved to Hudson in 2008. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including those who provided care for her over the past several years; Joseph and Jennie Manning and William and Patricia Manning all of Hudson. Visiting Hours will be on Sat. Aug. 22nd from 4-6pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON, NH. A Graveside Service will be in Daytona Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Daytona Beach, Florida on Tues. Aug. 25th at 2pm.
