O’Donaghue, 58, of Hudson died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Southern NH Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1951 in Boston, MA, son of the late Anne M. McDermott. He was the husband of Barbara (Higham) O’Donaghue of Hudson. Charlie began a career with New England Telephone in 1972 and retired from the then named Bell Atlantic in 1998. He later was employed with the Town of Derry as the Director of Parks and Recreation, a position which he held for 5 years. Charlie was an avid drummer and was a co-founding member of “The Classics Band.” Besides his loving wife, survivors include two sons; Shawn O’Donaghue of Hudson, and Cpt. Timothy O’Donaghue, U.S. Army, and his fiancé, Erica Natsios, of Ft. Campbell, KY. Two daughters; Allison O' Donaghue and Amanda O’Donaghue, both of Hudson. As well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many very dear friends. Visiting Hours will be on Sun. Aug. 16th from 1pm-4pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., IN HUDSON. A Prayer Service will be held on Mon. Aug. 17th at 10am in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson.
