Name: Jeannette (Courtois) Proteau Date: April 20th, 1922 - June 14th, 2009 Obituary: Jeannette (Courtois) Proteau, 87 of Hudson, formerly of Dracut, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 20, 1922 in Lowell, daughter of the late Andre’ and Florence (Larmand) Courtois. She was also predeceased by a brother, Leo Courtois. Jeannette was the wife of the late Arthur J. Proteau, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1996. She was a Quality Control Inspector at the former Wang Labs in Lowell. She enjoyed reading, solving word searches, the Boston Red Sox and Bruins, playing BINGO and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include a son and a daughter in law; Arthur, Jr. and Debra Proteau of Lunenburg, MA. Two daughters and two sons in law; Pauline and Robert Martin of Hudson, Shirley and Guy Lamarche of Lowell. Seven Grandchildren; Allison Proteau, Julia Proteau, Tyler Proteau, Corey Lamarche, Ashley Boland, Lori Laine and David Martin. Six Great Grandchildren; Dylan Boland, Brenden Laine, Daniel Laine, Andrea Laine, Stephanie Martin, and Andrew Martin. Two brothers; Albert Courtois and Victor Courtois. Visiting Hours will be held on Wed. June 17th from 6-8pm in THE DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. A Prayer Service will take place on Fri. June 19th at 10am in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel in Chelmsford, MA. All May Meet At The Cemetery. Private interment to follow.
